Particleboard is one of the best substrates. Unlike solid wood, it is dimensionally stable and does not warp or crack. The surface is finished with melamine in solid or wood tones. The resulting system is both functional and beautiful - not to mention more economical. For these reasons, most customers choose a melamine on particleboard system rather than solid wood.
